The Land Cover Atlas, recently released by the NOAA Coastal Services Center, provides user-friendly access to the regional land cover and land cover change information developed by NOAA’s Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP). This tool eliminates the need for desktop geographic information software or advanced technical expertise by processing the C-CAP data for the user and providing easy access to that distilled information. Users can visually explore and analyze NOAA’s geospatial land cover data by county, query for specific types of land cover changes, and easily create county-specific reports that include maps, charts, and statistics. The Land Cover Atlas can help users see the effects of past land use decisions, document trends, and consider future land use planning needs. Explore the tool at http://www.csc.noaa.gov/ccapatlas/
